Is FORE Business School a good choice for MBA placements and career outcomes? An honest review from a current student

mixedmixedplacementsaverage salary/CTCspecialization choice

FORE's placement outcomes vary significantly by specialization and by how much individual effort a student puts in — and that's an honest framing worth holding onto before making your decision.

For marketing-focused candidates, FORE holds up reasonably well. The role split tends to run around 7:3 in favour of sales over pure marketing roles, with average CTCs ranging from 10–30 LPA depending on prior work experience. The overall average lands around 13 LPA. For finance, the picture is more nuanced — FORE is openly known as a marketing-first school, but from what we've tracked, finance placements have shown genuine improvement over the past two years, with final placement averages now sitting between 11–14 LPA. Companies that have come in for finance roles include BMW, Gartner, ITC, Asian Paints, KPMG, JP Morgan, and CRISIL — a reasonable mix, though not a deep recruiter pool.

HR placements are described as "decent enough," averaging 10–12 LPA. Consulting is the weakest vertical — only a handful of firms visit, with Capgemini being one of the few names that comes up consistently. That's worth weighing seriously if consulting is your target.

One concern that surfaces regularly is around unplaced students. The figure cited from the previous batch was 300 out of 720 students without offers at a given point in time — a number that understandably raises questions. The clarification from those closer to the process is that placements were still ongoing at that stage, and that 500–530 students ultimately receive offers. The remaining bottom 200, in that framing, tend to have profile gaps that were present well before placement season. In our experience, this pattern — where a significant tail remains unplaced — is not unique to FORE, but it does reinforce how critical it is to be in the top half of your cohort, not just enrolled in it.

The consistent emphasis we've seen from FORE alumni and current students is this: relevant certifications (CFA, FMVA), prior work experience, and active engagement during placement season move the needle far more than the brand name alone. FORE is not a school that carries students across the finish line — it rewards those who show up prepared.

In peer comparisons, FORE tends to fare better than colleges like KJSIM and NMIMS Navi Mumbai for marketing roles. However, for finance aspirants specifically, TAPMI and GIM BIFS are recommended as stronger alternatives.

The honest summary: FORE is a solid tier-2 option for marketing-oriented candidates who are willing to put in the work. For finance specialists, it's a usable but not optimal choice — and you should enter with clear eyes about that.
