FORE School of Management admission results released - who got converted and waitlisted?

FORE School of Management has released admission results for its 2026–2028 batch, and we've been tracking a significant volume of responses around conversions, waitlists, and campus allocations. Here's a clear picture of what's emerging.

Who's getting converted

Conversions have come in across PGDM Core, Financial Management (FM), Business Data Analytics (BDA), and International Business (IB). From the profiles we've seen, an 8/8/6 candidate with an 89 percentile CAT score received a Core conversion without any work experience. An 86.2 percentile candidate also converted to Core. Several others converted to FM or BDA. So the range of admitted profiles is reasonably varied, though CAT percentiles in the mid-to-high 80s appear to be a practical floor for Core conversions based on what we've tracked.

Campus allocation confusion

A notable pain point this cycle: offer letters did not initially specify campus locations, which created real anxiety for admitted candidates. Here's what we understand from those who followed up directly with the admissions office — FORE is shifting the entire Core program to Delhi and BDA to Gurgaon from 2026 onwards. Core currently has 60 seats in Gurgaon and 240 in Delhi. If campus location matters to you, it's worth confirming directly with the admissions office in writing rather than relying on the initial offer document.

Waitlist movement — two conflicting views

This is where we want to be honest about the uncertainty. There are two distinct perspectives in circulation, and they point in opposite directions.

One view, held by those familiar with the broader admissions cycle, is that waitlists at FORE move meaningfully after the CAP process concludes, as candidates who hold multiple offers make their final decisions.

The opposing view — and this one deserves equal weight — is that FORE issues double offers during the admission process itself, which effectively pre-fills seats and leaves very little room for waitlist movement.

We've seen both outcomes play out. If you're waitlisted, don't assume movement is guaranteed, but don't count it out entirely either. Tracking your waitlist number once it becomes visible (expected around the 8th of the month) will give you a better sense of your position.

Strong profiles being waitlisted

It's worth noting that some applicants with genuinely strong profiles — including a 7/7/7 academic record with a 92.5 CAT percentile — have been waitlisted this cycle. This isn't unusual for FORE given the volume of competitive applicants, but it does underscore that conversion isn't purely a percentile game at this stage.

Placement reality — the batch size question

This is a conversation that comes up every year around FORE, and it's one we think deserves a direct answer. The batch size exceeds 700+ students across programs, and that number has real implications for placement outcomes. From what we've tracked, FM and Core placements are comparatively stronger, and some recruiters specifically hire only from the Core program. BDA and IB have faced more uneven placement outcomes by comparison. This is not a reason to dismiss the college, but it is a reason to be clear-eyed about which program you're entering and what the realistic recruiting pipeline looks like for that specific program.

How FORE compares

In our experience, the consensus that tends to emerge from experienced professionals who've observed placement outcomes is this: FORE is a reasonable step above GLIM Gurgaon, but ranks below NMIMS Bangalore when financial outcomes are the primary metric.

The ₹50,000 waitlist deposit

The ₹50,000 deposit required to hold a waitlist position has been a point of debate. The practical view is straightforward — if you have no better offer in hand and FORE is a genuine target for you, paying it is defensible. If you already hold a stronger offer, it requires more careful consideration given that waitlist movement is not guaranteed.

Portal and dashboard issues

Multiple candidates experienced portal and dashboard access problems immediately after results were released. If you're hitting the same wall, the recommendation is to wait until the following day before escalating — this appears to have been a load-related issue rather than a data problem, and most access was restored within 24 hours.
