CAT RC is almost always dense, idea-heavy prose, where the author's position is buried, qualified, or reversed mid-passage. If your reading diet doesn't match that register, volume won't help you.
The Right Reading Material
The upgrade is specific: replace light reads with material that forces you to track complex arguments across paragraphs. The following mix is proven to match CAT's actual passage tone:

Within six to eight weeks, this process accelerates until it becomes automatic, which is exactly the mechanism CAT tests under time pressure.

A teacher providing personal attention on individual passages can identify whether you're misreading authorial tone, conflating inference with assumption, or defaulting to literal reading where the passage demands inference.
Generic video content won't catch this. You need someone reviewing your answer reasoning on 5-10 passages in real time.
Many aspirants only break the plateau after a mentor flags one recurring interpretation error they had repeated across dozens of mocks without noticing.
This path is narrow and slow. If you're six weeks out from CAT, aggressive reading won't save your VARC. But if you have a full cycle ahead, it is the most reliable route to 90+ percentile that exists.
Pro Tip: After every RC mock passage, write one sentence summarizing the author's primary argument in your own words before checking any answer, because if your summary is wrong, every answer choice will mislead you.
