Who can apply
Bachelor's degree: 50% aggregate (45% for SC/ST/PwD) in any discipline from a recognised university
CAT year accepted: 2025
Work experience: Not mandatory. Work-ex carries weight in the composite score (capped at 36 months for full points).
Age limit: No upper age limit
Final Year Eligible: Yes — candidates in the final year of Bachelor's degree may apply, subject to clearing the degree with required aggregate before joining.
Detailed selection process — what to expect at each stage

Stage 1 — Eligibility check
A valid CAT 2025 scorecard above sectional and overall cutoffs for your category. A Bachelor's degree with the minimum aggregate set by IIMs (50% General/EWS/NC-OBC, 45% SC/ST/PwD).

Stage 2 — Composite shortlist for WAT/PI
A composite score combining CAT performance, past academics, undergraduate marks, gender diversity, academic diversity and work experience generates the WAT/PI call list. Shortlist released in February.

Stage 3 — Written Ability Test + Personal Interview
WAT is a typed essay on a current topic, scored on structure, clarity and analytical depth. PI is a structured interview by a panel including IIM Mumbai faculty and external experts. Panels weight communication, work-ex, career intent, academic foundation and (often) NITIE-era operations and supply chain interest.

Stage 4 — Final merit list
Final selection combines CAT, WAT, PI, academics, work experience and diversity per published weights. Offers and waitlists are released in April-May.
