When will TAPMI admission results be released and what should candidates expect?

0-2 yrsmixedadmission results timelinebatch-wise rolloutportal access issues

TAPMI admission results for the 2026 intake were released in batches rather than all at once — something worth knowing if you're refreshing your portal and wondering why peers have heard back while you haven't. From what we've tracked across student conversations, the first merit list was officially scheduled for April 10, 2026, though some early offers were being released ahead of that date.

How to check your status: Candidates should log in to the TAPMI portal at https://apply.manipal.edu/tapmi/login and look for an "Allotment Status" tab. From what we've seen, successful candidates received both an email notification and a portal update simultaneously — but delays were common, with many candidates seeing no dashboard changes or emails even after checking multiple times. If you're in that situation, patience is the right call; the batch-wise rollout means the absence of news isn't necessarily bad news.

What outcomes are actually possible: TAPMI doesn't just issue offers and rejections. The results picture that emerges from aspirant conversations includes four distinct outcomes — direct offers, waitlist status (with decisions typically communicated within a week), rejections, and offers for specific specialisations. This last category caused some confusion: candidates who applied to multiple specialisations — say, Core MBA, Marketing, and IB — sometimes received an offer for one specialisation and were unsure whether that constituted a rejection for the others. The short answer is: an offer for one specialisation doesn't automatically mean rejection across the board, but it's worth clarifying directly with the admissions office.

Specialisations seeing conversions: Successful candidates reported offers across Tech Management, AI & Data Science, Banking and Financial Services, Core MBA, and Marketing — reflecting TAPMI's multi-specialisation admissions structure rather than a single general programme intake.

Score patterns we've seen: Candidates with XAT percentiles above 85 were the primary group reporting offers, though at least one candidate with an 84 percentile also received communication. The broader range of successful conversions we've tracked sits between 78 and 93 XAT percentile, with most successful candidates also carrying some work experience — typically in the 7 to 11 months range. For reference, an 89.9 XAT percentile profile was among those receiving offers in this cycle.

One thing worth acknowledging: For many candidates, TAPMI represents either their top choice or their primary remaining option at this stage of the admissions season. The anxiety around batch-wise results is real, and in our experience, the waiting period between batch releases can stretch without clear communication. If 24 to 48 hours have passed post the official release date and your portal shows nothing, reaching out to TAPMI's admissions team directly is a reasonable step rather than continued portal-checking.
